People who have AIDS condition have great health risks. The condition can developed various cancers such as cervical cancer, Kaposi’s sarcoma, and lymphomas, which is the cancer of the immune system. In addition to these risks, systematic of infections can also be developed such as weight loss, chills, swollen glands, sweats, and fevers. These infections may develop depending on its prevalence in the person’s body.

Pulmonary infection or pneumonia is one of the risks of AIDS. This infection is common among people with HIV virus. In some cases, this infection is a common cause of death for individuals with AIDS condition. Another infection associated with AIDS is the Tuberculosis. This infection cannot be easily treated and is transmissible through the person’s respiratory route.

Gastrointestinal infection is a risk associated with AIDS condition where the lining of the lower end of the esophagus is inflamed. This infection is possibly to occur in an HIV infected person due to viral or fungal infections. Chronic diarrhea is also a great risk experienced by a person with AIDS. This may result from many possible causes such as viruses, bacteria, or opportunistic infections. In some cases, the diarrhea can be a side effect of the various drugs or medicines taken by the person infected with HIV virus. It can also be an effect of the antibiotics used in treating the bacterial causes of the virus.

Psychiatric and neurological are also involved risks of AIDS. Among the possible diseases from this risk are Toxoplasmosis and Cryptococcal Meningitis. From these diseases, the HIV infected person may experience vomiting, nausea, fatigue, headache, and fevers. In some event, the person may also develop confusion or seizures.

People with HIV infection are at high risk of developing tumor and malignancies as well as various cancers. The Kaposi’s sarcoma is the most common tumor among HIV infected people. This infection may appear as purple nodules on the skin but will not affect other organs in the body that include the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, and the mouth.
